Cleaning & Caring For Braces

Revamping your smile with braces is more than an investment in your appearance. An aligned smile is also a great way to maintain long-term health and prevent future dental issues.

The truth is, taking good care of your braces is crucial to get the best results. Here are some tips and tricks on how to take care of braces.

How To Keep Braces Clean

Thoroughly cleaning your braces is the easiest way to improve your long term dental health. Establishing good brushing and flossing habits is key to avoiding future dental issues.

Having braces also means having some harder-to-reach areas in your teeth. Food particles can easily get stuck in these areas, and when left unchecked, they cause plaque and lead to dental problems later on.

Follow these simple steps to make your braces (and teeth) sparkle.

Don’t forget to floss! Start by threading the floss under the main wire. Then carefully and gently move the floss up and down in between your teeth.
